TYPE 1 - Medium Square

The type 1 Iraqi helmet net is the most common Iraqi helmet net seen during the first and second gulf war. This variant can be denoted by the sizing of the helmet net squares. I deemed this variant as a medium square net, as there is a smaller variation (Type 2), and a larger variation (Type 4).

TYPE 2 - Small Square

The type 2 Iraqi helmet net is the second common Iraqi helmet net seen during the first and second gulf war. This variant can be denoted by the sizing of the helmet net squares. I deemed this variant as a small square net, as there are two larger variations (Type 1, and Type 4).

TYPE 3

The type 3 Iraqi helmet net, is an East German made net that has been retrofitted to fit an Iraqi helmet. This variant an be denoted by the metal braces that secure the net to the helmet shell.

TYPE 4 - Large Square

The type 4 Iraqi helmet net is the least common Iraqi helmet net seen during second gulf war. This variation has yet to have been documented during the first gulf war. The variant can be denoted by the sizing of the helmet net squares. I deemed this variant as a large square net, as there are two smaller variations (Type 1, and Type 2).
