Original Iraq / Iran War Trophy from Saddam Parade Grounds (Victory Arch)
Apart of our online reference is a very interesting piece of Iraqi military history. This helmet was taken from the Iraqi Victory Arch, or parade grounds in Baghdad – where the Iraqi military presented their captured military helmets from KIA Iranians during the Iran Iraq War. This particular helmet was brought back as a war trophy in 2006.
Please note the areas of cement around the brim of the helmet where it was once affixed to Saddam’s parade grounds. The last image shows how the helmet once sat in the parade grounds.
